2 - 4 DAY HISTORIC CENTRAL ARIZONA TOUR
(Prescott & Verde Valley)
This trip to Prescott and the Verde Valley is great for history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts. Here you can explore the past territorial capital of Arizona and learn about the ancient Sinagua Indian tribes that inhabited the fertile Verde Valley. Accommodations range from modern hotels to charming bed and breakfasts and an authentic old Stagecoach Stop in the heart of Prescott National Forest.
Accommodations are limited in this area so we recommend booking in advance.
- On the road up from Phoenix stop at the Pioneer Living History Museum
Then travel on to Camp Verde or Cherry for your first nights stay. Cherry is an historic mining town nestled in the heart of Prescott National Forest. There's also a charming B&B guesthouse on the site of an award winning winery and garlic farm, adjacent to Prescott National Forest. Both make a good one or two-night stay to explore the surrounding area and take in some great hiking.

- Ride the Verde Canyon Railroad into Sycamore Canyon.
- Explore unique antique stores and boutique shops in Historic Old Town Cottonwood.
- Visit Jerome and take the mine museum tour after visiting quaint shops and art galleries.
- Visit Montezuma's Castle and Montezuma's Well
- Tour Tuzigoot National Monument with ancient Indian dwellings
